China delivers COVID-19 vaccines to UNRWA to help Palestinian refugees

China has delivered 200,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine in several shipments to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) to support anti-pandemic efforts of Palestinian refugees in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.

As of Feb 24, the vaccines have arrived in the three countries.

The UNRWA thanked China for its support in the anti-pandemic fight, as it has promoted accessibility and fair distribution of vaccines and safeguarded the health of Palestinian refugees.

China has already provided several shipments of anti-pandemic materials, vaccines and other assistance to Palestine, and send donations and anti-pandemic materials to the UNRWA.

The assistance from China was applauded and appreciated by the Palestinian government and people.
