Xiao Jianguo, Chinese ambassador to Timor-Leste, and Bonifácio Maukoli dos Reis, vice minister of health of Timor-Leste, attended the ceremony.

This shipment of supplies includes 100,000 doses of Sinovac vaccines, ventilators, oxygen concentrators, and nucleic acid detection reagents. Bonifácio Maukoli dos Reis said China has been providing medical and health assistance to his country for a long time and of great help to the country's health development. This shipment of supplies is very important to Timor-Leste as it includes both urgently needed vaccines and scarce medical equipment. Timor-Leste is deeply grateful for China's generous assistance, and looks forward to enhancing cooperation with China in the health care area.

As a new wave of the Omicron variant is raging around the world, the timely arrival of this shipment of supplies and vaccines will help Timor-Leste fight against the pandemic and consolidate the traditional friendly relations between the two countries, said the vice minister of health.
