Luo Zhaohui, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Yuri Senko, Belarusian ambassador to China, on March 30.
Luo said the China-Belarus comprehensive strategic partnership of mutual trust and win-win cooperation has seen continuous development under the leadership of the two heads of state. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the two sides have joined hands to fight the pandemic and overcome difficulties together, he noted.
Luo added that the CIDCA is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with the Belarusian side to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state so as to promote China-Belarus cooperation.
Senko said Belarus attaches great importance to cooperation with China and expressed appreciation to China for its long-standing and strong support for the country’s economic and social development.
China has provided Belarus with a large amount of anti-pandemic supplies and vaccines, he said, adding that Belarus is willing to work together with China to further implement the two sides’ consensus and strengthen pragmatic cooperation in various areas.
The two sides also had an in-depth exchange on specific issues in the field of development cooperation between the two countries.
Director-General of the CIDCA's First Department of Regional Affairs Bai Bin and Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation Xu Wei also attended the meeting.
