Luo Zhaohui, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Siddharth Chatterjee, resident coordinator of the United Nations (UN) in China, on April 15.
Luo thanked Chatterjee for his efforts to promote cooperation between China and the UN, and said that the Global Development Initiative (GDI) aims to accelerate implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and advocates the practice of true multilateralism.
Luo said the CIDCA is willing to work together with the UN Development System to further promote practical cooperation between the two sides and make contributions to advancing the implementation of the GDI and the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Chatterjee introduced the progress of the UN Development System in building partnerships in China, and highly commended the important role of the GDI in achieving the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
Chatterjee said the UN Development System in China looks forward to further strengthening partnership with the CIDCA and jointly promoting global sustainable development.
Director-General of the CIDCA Department of International Cooperation Xu Wei and Director-General of the CIDCA Second Department of Regional Affairs Liu Junfeng were present at the meeting.
