China’s technological assistance starts for Senegal’s eight stadiums

A ceremony was held at the stadium of Louga, Senegal on April 21 to mark the start of China's technological assistance to the country's eight stadiums.

Senegal's Sports Minister Matar Ba and President of Departmental Council of Louga Amadou Mberry Sylla and representatives of the Chinese embassy in Senegal attended the ceremony.

Ba thanked China for the valuable support and said the project will improve sport facilities for local young people and provide training opportunities for technicians.

He expressed his gratitude once again for China's support in preparing for the 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal and said it will be a great sports event for Africa and the world.

Sylla said local residents welcome the project and will fully cooperate with the Chinese side to carry out the project, and thanked the Chinese government for its valuable assistance.

Before the ceremony, Ba visited the stadium of Louga and learned about the maintenance process of the facilities.
