Deng Boqing, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Badral Tuvshin, Mongolian ambassador to China, via video link upon invitation on June 16.
Deng said that China and Mongolia are important friendly neighbors connected by mountains and rivers. Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Mongolia relations have been developing continuously.
China attaches great importance to development assistance cooperation with Mongolia, and has implemented a number of important projects to help with Mongolia's economic and social development and improve people's livelihoods, Deng said.
China and Mongolia have joined hands to fight against COVID-19, sending sheep and tea to each other to aid in recovery, Deng said, adding that China is willing to work with Mongolia to implement the consensus between the two heads of state and promote development cooperation between the two countries for more results.
Badral hailed Mongolia-China relations and the results of their development assistance cooperation, saying that China's aid projects in Mongolia have made important contributions to promoting friendship between the two countries and practical cooperation in various fields, and that the two sides' cooperation in fighting the pandemic has become a regional model and an international example.
Badral said Mongolia is willing to communicate closely with the CIDCA and jointly promote mutual cooperation.
The two sides also had an in-depth exchange of views on relevant cooperation projects.
