CIDCA vice-chairman meets with ISSCAD dean

Deng Boqing, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), attended the commencement of the Institute of South-South Cooperation and Development (ISSCAD) on June 25, during which he met with Justin Yifu Lin, dean of the ISSCAD.

Deng congratulated the ISSCAD on its remarkable achievements, saying that the CIDCA is willing to work with all parties concerned to jointly build Chinese flagship projects of South-South cooperation. He said he hopes that the ISSCAD will make efforts to implement the Global Development Initiative (GDI) to further strengthen its academic construction and teaching management, optimize its branding and external promotion, better share China's successful experiences and development concepts, and work with the world to solve development problems and create development opportunities.

Lin thanked the CIDCA for its long-standing support, adding that under the guidance and support of the CIDCA and other departments, he would do his best to build the ISSCAD into a world-class teaching and research institution and national governance exchange platform in the field of South-South cooperation and make greater contributions to implementing the GDI and building a community with a shared future for mankind.
