Luo noted that the two heads of state had friendly exchanges and reached key consensuses while attending the Samarkand Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO)  and during their meeting in Uzbekistan in September.

As reiterated at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), China is prepared to invest more resources in global development cooperation and will stand steadfast in supporting and boosting the development of other developing countries. Luo said that China is ready to work jointly with Uzbekistan in implementing the consensuses reached by the two heads of state, fostering stronger synergy of cooperative strategies and working level coordination, in a bid to see early yields in the Global Development Initiative (GDI) in Uzbekistan and the high-quality development of the China-Uzbekistan comprehensive strategic partnership.

Arziev said that China is both a reliable friend and a comprehensive strategic partner to Uzbekistan. He extended appreciation to China for the precious support to Uzbekistan in the country's reform and the COVID-19 response, and said that Uzbekistan is ready to closely cooperate with China on the GDI implementation and push for more achievements in bilateral cooperation.

The two sides held in-depth exchanges on details of the bilateral cooperation.

Bai Bin, CIDCA's director-general of the First Department of Regional Affairs, and Jiang Na, CIDCA's director-general of the Department of General Affairs, were present at the meeting.
