China has donated a set of construction vehicles and equipment to the working group of the Cambodian King, which will be used to help the special group better fulfill its duties and improve the livelihoods of the Cambodian people.
Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wentian handed over the donation, which included excavators, bulldozers, road rollers and tractors, to Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni at a ceremony held at the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh, capital city of the Kingdom of Cambodia, on Nov 30, 2022.
King Sihamoni briefed Wang about the efforts made by the working group in infrastructure projects, like building roads and water conservancy facilities, around the country, and expressed appreciation to the China for their long-term selfless assistance to the Cambodian Royal Palace and the people. He said that China is a great friend of the Cambodian people and has donated lots of machinery and other goods to the working group over the years, adding that the latest donation will help the group bring more tangible benefits to the Cambodian people.
Wang said that the consistent support of the Chinese government to the working group of Cambodian King is an epitome of the traditional friendship between the two countries, and a vivid illustration of the profound connection between the Chinese people and the Cambodian royal family.
Noting that the Cambodian royal family has made historical contributions to the positive development of China-Cambodia relations, he said that China will continue to support Cambodian economic and social development and provide assistance to the best of its ability for the working group to further improve the lives of the people and reduce poverty.
