CIDCA chairman meets with adviser to Nicaraguan president

Luo Zhaohui, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with visiting adviser to the Nicaraguan president Laureano Ortega Murillo on Feb 10, to exchange views on bilateral development and cooperation.

Luo extended a warm welcome on Laureano's second visit to China, saying that since the resumption of diplomatic relations between China and Nicaragua, positive results have been yielded in their bilateral development and cooperation. He said that China is ready to work with Nicaragua in jointly implementing consensuses reached between the heads of state of the two countries, and in promoting the implementation of the Global Development Initiative (GDI) and other cooperation projects, in a bid to further benefit the two countries and their people.

Laureano applauded the bilateral cooperation between the two countries, and extended his appreciation for the support and assistance from China to Nicaragua in its anti-pandemic response and socioeconomic development. He said that the Nicaraguan government and people are looking forward to further cooperation for the benefit of the country and its people, and that Nicaragua is ready to closely work with China to promote further achievements in the bilateral development cooperation.

The two sides also held in-depth exchanges on the details of cooperative projects and signed cooperation agreements accordingly.
