CIDCA vice-chairman meets with Italian deputy minister of foreign affairs

Zhao Fengtao, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with On. Edmondo Cirielli, deputy minister of the Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC) of Italy, on Feb 17, 2023, during his visit to Italy.

Zhao introduced in detail the CIDCA’s role in implementing the Global Development Initiative (GDI) and its preliminary achievements. The two sides also held in-depth exchanges on topics such as strengthening policy communication and dialogues in development cooperation, carrying out trilateral cooperation and cooperation in human resource development, and implementing the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Teresa Castaldo, the MFAIC's director-general for development cooperation, Xu Wei, director-general of the CIDCA's Department of International Cooperation, and Li Bin, minister-counsellor of China to Italy, also attended the meeting.
