Xu Wei meets with officials from UK, European Commission and Mexico on intl development cooperation

Entrusted by Zhao Fengtao, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), Xu Wei, director-general of the CIDCA's Department of International Cooperation, met with Christian Rogg, director for Development and Parliament Directorate of the United Kingdom's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), Jean-Louis Ville, deputy director in charge of East Asia and the Pacific of the Directorate-General for International Partnerships of the European Commission, and Carlos Javier Castillo Perez, general director of Planning and Evaluation at the Mexican Agency for International Cooperation for Development, respectively in Paris on Feb 15, 2023.

Xu mainly introduced the Global Development Initiative (GDI) to the aforementioned parties, and exchanged views with them on topics such as strengthening policy communication and dialogues in development cooperation, carrying out trilateral cooperation, and implementing the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Sun Xinhua, first secretary of the Chinese Embassy in France, also attended the meetings.
