Noting that China and Vanuatu are good friends, brothers and partners who share weal and woe with each other, Li said that the Chinese people feel for those who suffered from the disaster in Vanuatu. Through unremitting efforts, China collected a batch of relief supplies such as tents, water treatment equipment, tarpaulins, folding beds and first aid kits, hoping to help the victims tide over the difficulties and facilitate their post-disaster reconstruction work, he said.

He pledged to make proper arrangement of the supplies to ensure early distribution among those affected.
