Tang Wenhong, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), visited Sitiveni Rabuka, prime minister of Fiji, on March 22, during his trip to the country.
The two sides held in-depth exchange of views on such topics as bilateral relations, implementing the Global Development Initiative (GDI) and strengthening bilateral cooperation.
On the same day, Tang also signed documents of bilateral cooperation on behalf of China with Sakiusa Tubuna, assistant minister for the Prime Minister's Office of Fiji, which included a memorandum of understanding on the implementation of the GDI and agreements on economic and technological cooperation.
Chinese Ambassador to Fiji Zhou Jian, Economic and Commercial Counsellor Ma Guoliang, Deputy Director-General of the CIDCA's Second Department of Regional Affairs Zhang Lihua, and Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office of Fiji Pita Wise were also present.
