Xi Jinping Sends Message of Condolence to Angolan President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço over Disastrous Heavy Rains in Angola

On April 27, 2023, President Xi Jinping sent a message of condolence to Angolan President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço over the disastrous heavy rains in the country.

Xi Jinping expressed his shock learning of the disastrous heavy rains in Angola’s capital Luanda and other places, which caused heavy casualties and property losses. On behalf of the Chinese government and people, he extended deep condolences to the victims and sincere sympathies to the bereaved families, the injured and the people in the disaster-hit areas. He expressed his belief that Angola will overcome the difficulties and rebuild the home.
