CIDCA chairman meets with Philippines’ new ambassador to China

On May 10, 2023, Luo Zhaohui, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with the new Ambassador of the Philippines to China Jaime Florcruz.

Luo said that China and the Philippines have witnessed close high-level exchanges and fruitful cooperation results in recent years. Noting that the heads of state of the two countries have identified agriculture, infrastructure, energy and culture as the four key areas of cooperation, Luo called for greater efforts from both sides to jointly implement the consensuses reached between the two heads of state, strengthen communication and cooperation and promote the healthy and steady development of bilateral ties.

Jaime extended his appreciation to the Chinese government for its support and assistance to the socioeconomic development of the Philippines, and pledged to strengthen cooperation with Chine in various fields.

The two sides also exchanged views on specific cooperation projects. Director-General of the CIDCA's First Department of Regional Affairs Liu Junfeng and Deputy Director-General Wang Daohao also attended the meeting.
