CIDCA chairman meets with Belarusian minister of economy

Luo Zhaohui, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with visiting Minister of Economy of Belarus Aleksandr Viktorovich Chervyakov on June 2, 2023.

Noting that China and Belarus enjoy an unbreakable friendship, Luo said that the two countries have achieved fruitful results in development cooperation. Key consensus has been reached during the recent visit of the Belarusian president to China, he said, adding that China is ready to work with Belarus to jointly implement the consensus reached between the two heads of state, advance high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, promote the implementation of the Global Development Initiative (GDI), and further expand cooperation in order to bring more benefits to the people of both countries.

Chervyakov extended his appreciation to China for its long-term support for the country's socioeconomic development and the improvement of people's livelihoods. He pledged to implement the strategic consensus reached between the two heads of state, learn from China's development experiences in state governance and the digital economy, proactively participate in the Belt and Road Initiative and the GDI, and strive for new achievements in the bilateral cooperation.

The two sides also held in-depth exchanges on specific cooperation projects. Belarusian Ambassador to China Yuri Senko, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus Vadzim Shahoika, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of Belarus Sergei Dubina, Director-General of the CIDCA's First Department of Regional Affairs Liu Junfeng, and Deputy Director-General of the CIDCA's Department of International Cooperation Du Wei also attended the meeting.
