CIDCA vice-chairman meets with Zambia’s minister of commerce, trade and industry

Zhong Haidong, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry of Zambia Chipoka Mulenga on July 4, 2023. The two sides held in-depth exchanges on strengthening development cooperation and promoting the implementation of the Global Development Initiative (GDI).

Both sides agreed that China and Zambia enjoy an all-weather traditional friendship which has grown stronger with time. The two heads of state have set strategic guidance for their bilateral ties and pragmatic cooperation. Both sides agreed to further strengthen cooperation, fully implement the key consensuses reached between the two heads of state, promote the implementation of the nine programs of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation as well as the GDI, and strive for tangible cooperation results to benefit the people of both countries.

The two sides also exchanged views on specific cooperation matters. Charge d 'affaires of the Zambian Embassy in China Alfred Likokoto Sililo and Deputy Director-General of the CIDCA's Second Department of Regional Affairs Zhang Lihua also attended the meeting.
