CIDCA chairman meets with Belarussian first deputy PM

Luo Zhaohui, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Belarussian First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov, who came to China to attend the first high-level conference of the Forum on Global Action for Shared Development, on July 9, 2023.

Belarussian Minister of Economy Aleksandr Viktorovich Chervyakov, Belarussian Ambassador to China Yuri Senko, First Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Belarus Aleksandr Valiyev, and Deputy Minister of Finance Lemekh Pavel, as well as Liu Junfeng, director-general of the CIDCA's First Department of Regional Affairs, attended the meeting.

Luo welcomed Belarus' high-level delegation to the conference, saying that China and Belarus are all-weather comprehensive strategic partners and have achieved fruitful results in the field of development cooperation under the guidance of the important consensus reached between the two heads of state. China is willing to make joint efforts with Belarus to implement the agreed assistance projects and explore new areas and ways of cooperation under the framework of the Global Development Initiative (GDI), so as to promote the continuous development of bilateral friendly relations and better benefit the people of the two countries.

Snopkov thanked China for its long-term selfless assistance to Belarus' economic and social development and improvement of people's livelihoods. Belarus is willing to work closely with China to implement the strategic consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, implement the GDI and jointly build the Belt and Road to a high standard, and promote Sino-Belarusian relations to a new level.

The two sides conducted an in-depth exchange of views on specific development cooperation projects.
