Xu Wei meets with officials from FAO and IFAD

On July 11, 2023, Xu Wei, director-general of the Department of International Cooperation of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with senior officials from the United Nations food and agriculture agencies.

The officials are Jong-Jin Kim, assistant director-general and regional representative for Asia and the Pacific of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and Satu Santala, associate vice-president of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). Both were in China to attend the first high-level conference of the Forum on Global Action for Shared Development.

Xu held in-depth exchanges with them on such topics as jointly promoting the implementation of the Global Development Initiative, strengthening dialogue on development cooperation, and carrying out pragmatic cooperation.
