CIDCA vice-chairman meets with ambassador of Mozambique to China

Tang Wenhong, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Maria Gustava, ambassador of Mozambique to China, on July 25.

Tang acknowledged the deep traditional friendship between China and Mozambique and achievements made in bilateral pragmatic cooperation under the guidance of the two heads of state in recent years. Both sides should effectively maintain and operate  completed and ongoing projects, innovate ways of cooperation, and jointly promote the implementation of the Global Development Initiative (GDI), as well as the continuous development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, he said.

Gustava said that Mozambique cherishes its brotherhood friendship with China and thanked the Chinese government and people for their long-term support to the socioeconomic development and improvement of people's livelihoods in her country. Mozambique fully supports and participates in the China-proposed GDI, the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative, and is willing to work closely with China for more cooperative outcomes, she said.

The two sides held in-depth exchanges on specific matters regarding development cooperation. Bai Bin, director-general of the CIDCA’s Second Department of Regional Affairs, also attended the meeting.
