CIDCA vice-chairman surveys Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences

On Aug 8, 2023, Tang Wenhong, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), visited the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences to survey its key national laboratories and engineering technology centers.

A symposium on China's agricultural foreign aid was held during the trip, which saw participation from seven related institutes including the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Foreign Economic Cooperation Center under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the China International Engineering Consulting Corporation.

Attending representatives introduced their respective foreign assistance agricultural projects in terms of feasibility research, implementation progress and human resources training, and put forward suggestions in such areas as the coordination of agricultural foreign aid, regional planning, project design, implementation management, personnel support, outcome transformation, and project sustainability.

 Tang acknowledged the contributions from all units to the country's foreign aid undertaking, and pledged to strengthen communication and coordination with them, as well as to improve China's agricultural foreign aid system and mechanism, innovate assistance models, and strive for more achievements in China's agricultural foreign aid.
