CIDCA chairman meets with UN resident coordinator in China

Luo Zhaohui, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with United Nations Resident Coordinator in China Siddharth Chatterjee on Aug 30, 2023.

Luo extended his appreciation to the UN development system, as well as Chatterjee himself, for their strong support to the CIDCA, and briefed Chatterjee on the outcomes of the recently-concluded 15th BRICS Summit.

Noting that this year marks the mid-term review of the implementation of the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, Luo said that China is ready to continue to strengthen policy dialogue and cooperation with the UN, and jointly contribute to the implementation of the Global Development Initiative (GDI) and the 2030 agenda.

At the end of the meeting, on behalf former UN secretary-general Ban Ki-moon, Chatterjee presented to Luo Ban's memoir Resolved: Uniting Nations in a Divided World.

Tang Ying, head of the CIDCA’s Global Development Promotion Center, also attended the meeting.
