During his visit to Mongolia, Luo Zhaohui, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), co-chaired a joint working meeting on China-Mongolia development cooperation, together with Khurelbaatar, deputy prime minister and minister of the economy and development of Mongolia, on Sept 1, 2023.
Representatives from the CIDCA, China's National Forestry and Grassland Administration and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as Mongolia's ministries of economic development, foreign affairs, finance, environment, tourism, urban construction, and culture, and departments of customs and forestry attended the meeting.
The two sides held in-depth exchanges on implementing the consensus reached between the two heads of state, strengthening cooperation under the frameworks of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Global Development Initiative, and promoting a number of major cooperation projects, especially the implementation of China's support for Mongolia's "Plant a Billion Trees" campaign. Bilateral cooperation documents were signed at the end of the meeting.
