CIDCA vice-chairman meets minister of foreign affairs, trade and export development of Grenada

Tang Wenhong, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Export Development of Grenada Joseph Andall on Sept 5, 2023, to exchanges views on promoting bilateral development cooperation.

Noting that China has always taken Grenada as an important cooperation partner, Tang said that the two sides adhere to mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit and have achieved positive results in development cooperation. China is ready to work with Grenada and other Caribbean countries to jointly build the Belt and Road and implement the Global Development Initiative to achieve common development, he said.

Andall expressed his appreciation to China for its long-term support to the country’s socioeconomic development. The Grenadian government is committed to improving the well-being of its people, he noted, raising hope to learn from China’s development experience and for its continued support to Grenada in various fields.

Grenadian Ambassador to China Ian Marshall, Deputy Director-General of the CIDCA's Second Department of Regional Affairs Cai Fang, and Counselor of the Department of Latin American and Caribbean Affairs of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Xu Kun also attended the meeting.
