On the morning of September 10, 2023 local time, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council attended and addressed the third session of the 18th G20 Summit in New Delhi, India.
Li Qiang said that the agenda of the session is "One Future". Throughout the history of human civilization, either in good times or bad, the yearning for a better future has always been the beacon that leads humanity forward. The world is currently undergoing a difficult period of complexity and volatility, and as the difficulties intensify, there is an increasing need to strengthen confidence and enhance expectations for the future, take a long-term view and actively respond to difficulties and challenges.
Li Qiang pointed out that only by doing a good job in the present can we have a good future. The G20 members should play an exemplary role, start with specific matters and strive to do well in the present. The most urgent issue at present is development. The G20 members should place the issue of development at the center of macro-policy coordination, establish more practical cooperation mechanisms, take concrete actions, and support developing countries in better addressing development challenges such as poverty reduction, fundraising, climate change, food and energy security. The G20 members should act on true multilateralism, build global development partnerships, and create a safe and stable international environment for common development.
Leaders attending the summit said that the G20 should demonstrate responsibility and obligation, promote international cooperation, advance inclusive, sustainable and people-centered development, and ensure that the application of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence enhances human well-being.
The summit adopted the G20 New Delhi Leaders' Declaration.
On the morning of the same day, Li Qiang and other leaders attending the summit offered floral tributes to the Memorial of Mahatma Gandhi.
Wu Zhenglong, among others, attended the summit.
