A delegation of China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) led by its vice-chairman Deng Boqing visited Turkmenistan upon invitation from Sept 10 to 12, 2023.
Deng held talks with Turkmen Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vepa Hajiyev, Minister of Education Gurbangul Atayeva, as well as heads of the country’s major natural gas supplier Konzern and Yagshigeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas, with whom he exchanged views on such topics as bilateral relations, promoting bilateral development cooperation and implementing the Global Development Initiative. They also communicated on pragmatic cooperation in such areas as oil and gas, culture and education, and infrastructure construction.
During the trip, the delegation visited the planned site of the Luban Workshop, surveyed Turkmenistan's "smart city" Arkadag, and held a symposium with representatives of Chinese enterprises in Turkmenistan.
Charge d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Turkmenistan Guo Hongliang, Commercial Counselor Li Yue, and Deputy Director-General of the CIDCA's First Department of Regional Affairs Li Junfeng also attended the activities.
