On Sept 18, 2023, Xu Wei, spokesperson for the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), announced that the Chinese government has decided to provide emergency humanitarian assistance of 30 million yuan ($4.1 million) to Libya to help with its relief efforts in the aftermath of the recent storm and floods.
Based on the needs of the Libyan side, the main assistance supplies from China include tents, blankets, first aid kits, hand-operated water treatment equipment, and portable color Doppler ultrasound diagnostic instruments.
