On Sept 25, 2023, Deng Boqing, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Bakyt Torobayev, deputy prime minister of Kyrgyzstan.
Noting that China and Kyrgyzstan are friendly neighboring countries, Deng said that the close high-level exchanges between the two countries in recent years have charted the course for the development of China-Kyrgyzstan relations. China is willing to work with Kyrgyzstan to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, deepen development cooperation, strengthen synergy between the Belt and Road Initiative and the Kyrgyz National Development Program until 2026, and promote the implementation of the Global Development Initiative in Kyrgyzstan, as well as continue to develop the China-Kyrgyzstan comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era, Deng said.
Torobayev expressed his appreciation to the Chinese government for its long-term support and assistance, which have played an important role in his country's socioeconomic development and improvement of people's livelihoods. He said that Kyrgyzstan is ready to work with China to continuously promote high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, consolidate mutual trust and deepen good-neighborly and friendly relations between the two countries.
The two sides also held in-depth exchanges on specific cooperation matters. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to China Aktilek Musaeva, Kyrgyz Minister of Transport and Communications Tekebaev Tilek Kydyrmaevich, Minister of Energy Ibraev Taalaibek Omukeevich, and First Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Choro Seyitov, as well as Director-General of the CIDCA's First Department of Regional Affairs Liu Junfeng and Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation Meng Ran also attended the meeting.
