CIDCA inks MOU with Serbian Foreign Ministry on promoting implementation of GDI

On Oct 18, 2023, Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) Luo Zhaohui and Foreign Minister of Serbia Ivica Dačić signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on promoting the implementation of the Global Development Initiative (GDI) on behalf of their respective agencies. Serbia has become the first Central and Eastern European country to sign a MOU with China on promoting the implementation of the GDI.

According to the MOU, the two sides reached consensus on strengthening strategic alignment and expanding pragmatic cooperation under the GDI framework. Both sides agreed to focus on the eight key areas of cooperation under the GDI, actively carry out policy dialogue and exchanges, strive to strengthen bilateral and tripartite cooperation, and jointly build more result-oriented projects that will benefit people’s livelihoods and help accelerate the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
