China, Pakistan ink polio vaccine assistance project

On Oct 18, 2023, witnessed by Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Pakistani Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, Chairman of the China  International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) Luo Zhaohui and Pakistani Ambassador to China Moin ul Haque signed and exchanged a project agreement on polio vaccine assistance to Pakistan. 

Through this project, China will provide Pakistan with 30 million doses of the polio vaccine for free. 

Pakistan is one of the two remaining countries in the world where polio is still endemic. This project is one of the pragmatic outcomes of the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, demonstrating China's efforts and determination to help Pakistan eradicate polio and promote the building of a global community of health for all.
