CIDCA chairman meets with InterAction Council member and former president of Slovenia

On Oct 27, 2023, Luo Zhaohui, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Danilo Türk, a member of the InterAction Council and former president of Slovenia.

Türk spoke highly of China's philosophy and practices in international development cooperation, and expressed  his willingness to fully tap the role of the InterAction Council and pool wisdom, connections and resources of former political leaders, to jointly promote China-European Union cooperation in Africa, explore the future direction of global development cooperation, and make positive contributions to world peace and development.

Luo welcomed Türk on his visit and acknowledged the council's important role in promoting peace and security as an international organization formed by former political leaders. He said that the CIDCA is willing to strengthen communication and cooperation with the InterAction Council to promote the implementation of the Global Development Initiative and the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Vice-Chairman of the CIDCA Zhao Fengtao and Director-General of the CIDCA's Department of International Cooperation Xu Wei also attended the meeting.
