On the morning of Nov 8, 2023, the China-aided emergency humanitarian quake relief supplies to Nepal, including 600 cotton tents and 4,600 blankets, left Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport on two military planes, and will arrive in Nepal on the same day.
On Nov 4, Nepal was hit by strong earthquakes. China’s leadership immediately sent messages of condolences to the Nepalese president and prime minister respectively, expressing deep condolences to the victims, sincere sympathy to the bereaved families and the injured, and readiness to provide necessary disaster relief assistance to the country.
China is highly concerned with the disaster situation in Nepal. At the request of the Nepalese government, the China International Development Cooperation Agency took immediate action to provide emergency humanitarian assistance to Nepal.
