Liu Junfeng, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Zolboo Enkhtuvshin, deputy minister of Construction and Urban Development of Mongolia, on Nov 15, 2023.
Noting that China and Mongolia are close neighbors linked by mountains and rivers, Liu acknowledged the fruitful results yielded in development cooperation between the two countries under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state. He said that China is ready to continue to strengthen communication and coordination with Mongolia, promote pragmatic cooperation projects in such areas as culture, education, sports, and desertification prevention and control, in a bid to jointly advance the Belt and Road cooperation, implement the Global Development Initiative (GDI), and enrich the connotation of China-Mongolia comprehensive strategic partnership.
Zolboo said that Mongolia highly regards and sincerely appreciates China's long-term support and assistance to Mongolia's socioeconomic development and the improvement of people's livelihoods. Mongolia is ready to actively support and participate in the Belt and Road cooperation and the GDI, jointly implement the consensus reached between the two heads of state, and push for new achievements in bilateral cooperation and relations, he added.
The two sides also held in-depth exchanges on specific cooperation projects. Deputy Director-General of the CIDCA's First Department of Regional Affairs Wang Daohao and Mongolian Ambassador to China Tuvshin Badral also attended the meeting.
