CIDCA chairman meets with UN resident coordinator in China

On Dec 14, Luo Zhaohui, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with United Nations Resident Coordinator in China Siddharth Chaterjee.

Luo briefed Chaterjee on the Second China-Indian Ocean Region Forum on Development Cooperation and said that the CIDCA and UN agencies in China have yielded fruitful results in international development cooperation. He raised his hope that the two sides will deepen communication, map out cooperation priorities and road-maps for the coming year, expand cooperation areas, and jointly advance the implementation of the Global Development Initiative (GDI) and the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Chaterjee thanked the CIDCA for its support to the UN development system and the coordinator's office over the past year, and pledged continued pragmatic cooperation with the CIDCA in such areas as GDI promotion and trilateral cooperation in Africa.

Head of the CIDCA's Global Development Promotion Center Tang Ying and Deputy Director-General of the CIDCA's Department of International Cooperation Meng Ran also attended the meeting.
