Affirming the traditional friendship between China and Ghana, Liu said that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, bilateral relations have continuously developed, yielding fruitful results through pragmatic cooperation. China is ready to continue cooperation with Ghana in development fields, promote high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and jointly implement the Global Development Initiative (GDI) and the nine programs under the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, in a bid to benefit the people of both countries, he added.

Atta thanked China for its long-term support to Ghana in its economic and social development, especially for its assistance in post-pandemic economic recovery. He said that Ghana is willing to fully support and participate in the GDI, as well as to strengthen pragmatic cooperation in such fields as agricultural poverty reduction, medial health, digital economy and green development, in a bid to jointly elevate bilateral ties to a new level.

The two sides also held in-depth exchanges on specific cooperation matters.
