China-aided emergency supplies for 2024 ASEAN Summit handed over to Laos

On March 11, 2024, the handover ceremony of the emergency supplies provided by the Chinese government to Laos for the 2024 ASEAN Summit and sideline meetings was held in Vientiane, Laos. Charge d' affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Laos Wang Chang and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos Saleumxay Kommasith attended the handover ceremony.

Saleumxay extended his sincere appreciation to China for its assistance, and pledged to continue its efforts in promoting the building of an ASEAN-China community with a shared future and in deepening the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership.

After the ceremony, Wang accompanied Saleumxay to check the supplies and test drive the China-made automobiles, during which Saleumxay heaped praises on the made-in-China products.
