On March 26, 2024, witnessed by the heads of state of China and Sri Lanka, Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency Luo Zhaohui signed bilateral cooperation documents with Secretary to the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Anura Dissanayake.
The documents include exchange of notes on Chinese emergency humanitarian assistance to Sri Lanka and minutes of the on-site visit and discussion for the feasibility study of China-aided digital transformation projects in general education in Sri Lanka.
The two sides agreed to actively expand bilateral development cooperation to facilitate economic recovery and improvement of people's livelihoods in Sri Lanka.
