CIDCA chairman meets with Bangladeshi minister of local government, rural development and cooperatives

On April 30, 2024, Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) Luo Zhaohui met with visiting Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives of Bangladesh Mohammad Tazul Islam.

Luo welcomed Tazul on his visit to China, saying that China and Bangladesh have achieved fruitful results in bilateral development cooperation under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state. China is ready to join hands with Bangladesh to implement the key consensus reached between the two heads of state, actively expand pragmatic cooperation under the frameworks of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Global Development Initiative, and make new contributions to the deepening of the China-Bangladesh strategic cooperative partnership, he said.

Tazul thanked China for its long-term assistance to his country's socioeconomic development and to the improvement of people's livelihoods. He raised his hope for further cooperation with China in agriculture and water affairs, and pledged to jointly implement the consensus reached between the two heads of state and to push for the continuous development of bilateral relations.

The two sides also exchanged views on specific cooperation matters.
