China, EU conduct joint inspection on international development cooperation projects

From June 24 to 27, a team from the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) headed by Cui Jin, deputy director-general of the agency's Department of Supervision and Evaluation, conducted a joint inspection on international development cooperation projects with a working group from the European Union (EU) in Cote d 'Ivoire. This is the first exchange event of project evaluation between the CIDCA and the EU.

In Cote d 'Ivoire, the two teams visited respective local development cooperation projects in agriculture, energy and green development, and held work meetings to exchange project evaluation methods and experiences.

Both sides agreed that the joint inspection was a beneficial exploration of China-EU cooperation in international development cooperation, which has enhanced mutual understanding and mutual learning, achieving positive results. During the inspection, the two sides also held in-depth exchanges on strengthening trilateral cooperation, deepening theoretical and practical exchanges on international development cooperation, and implementing the Global Development Initiative.
