On July 8, 2024, Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) Luo Zhaohui met with Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov in Beijing.
Luo welcomed the minister on his visit and noted that the leaders of the two countries have met multiple times since last year and reached important consensus on continuously deepening the China-Belarus all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership. The CIDCA, as a department responsible for China's foreign assistance and international development cooperation, is ready to work with the Belarusian side to jointly implement the consensus reached between the two heads of state, carry out high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, promote the Global Development Initiative with high quality, and strive consistently for new results in bilateral development cooperation, he said.
Ryzhenkov thanked China for its long-term support to Belarus for economic and social development and the improvement of the people's livelihoods. He spoke highly of the CIDCA's massive and effective work, and pledged to work closely with China under the guidance of the consensus between the two heads of state, continuously deepen bilateral development cooperation, and make new contributions to bilateral relations.
The two sides also exchanged views on specific cooperation projects.
