Luo Zhaohui, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko in Minsk on Aug 14.
Golovchenko thanked the Chinese government for its support and assistance in economic and social development and in improving people's livelihoods in his country. Belarus is ready to continue strengthening high-level exchanges, deepen pragmatic cooperation, expand exchanges on state governance experience, and actively participate in Belt and Road cooperation and the implementation of the Global Development Initiative (GDI), in a bid to enrich the connotation of the Belarus-China all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership, he said.
Noting that Belarus is a trustworthy friend and partner of China, Luo said that China-Belarus relations have been developing in depth under the strategic guidance and personal attention of the heads of the two states. The CIDCA is ready to work with the Belarusian side to jointly implement the consensus reached between the leaders of the two countries, proactively advance Belt and Road cooperation, implement the GDI, and strive for new outcomes in bilateral development cooperation, he said.
Belarusian First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov, Minister of Economy Yuri Chebotar, and First Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Lukashevich, as well as Chinese Ambassador to Belarus Xie Xiaoyong, Director-General of the CIDCA's First Department of Regional Affairs Shou Hailong, and Deputy Director-General of the CIDCA's Department of International Cooperation Guan Zhiyong, also attended the meeting.
