CIDCA chairman meets with UN resident coordinator in China

Luo Zhaohui, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with United Nations Resident Coordinator in China Siddharth Chatterjee  on Aug 28.

Luo said that China, as a firm advocate and practitioner of true multilateralism, supports the UN's key and leading role in coordinating and advancing sustainable development. In light of the soon-to-be-held Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and the UN Summit of the Future, the CIDCA is ready to take them as opportunities to carry out more efficient and pragmatic cooperation with the UN, and jointly implement the Global Development Initiative (GDI), he added.

Chatterjee said that the UN in China stands ready to continuously deepen cooperation with the CIDCA, and to jointly host events to publicize the GDI and the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Vice-Chairman of the CIDCA Zhao Fengtao, Director-General of the CIDCA's Department of International Cooperation Li Ming, and head of the CIDCA's Global Development Promotion Center Tang Ying also attended the meeting.
