China has established pairing cooperation relations with 46 hospitals in 41 African countries and regions, jointly setting up 25 specialized cooperation centers covering specialties such as cardiology, critical care medicine, trauma, and endoscopy, and filling thousands of technical gaps in Africa. Meanwhile, "small-yet-smart" free surgery programs have helped more than 10,000 patients with cataract, heart disease, and cleft lip conditions regain their health.
