CIDCA vice-chairman meets with Saudi Fund for Development officials

Zhao Fengtao, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Director General of the Asia Operation of Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Saud Ayid Alshammari and Director of Collection and Credit Management Ahmad Alhumaid, on the sidelines of the 9th Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, on Sept 25.

Noting that the SFD has extensive experience in international development cooperation, Zhao said the CIDCA is willing to continue to explore partnership with it under the framework of the Global Development Initiative (GDI), and to strengthen policy planning and dialogue in order to jointly promote the implementation of the GDI and the realization of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Saud lauded China's role in international development cooperation and said the meeting bears landmark significance for bilateral cooperation. The SFD has carried out cooperation projects in over 100 countries and is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the CIDCA, establish partnership, jointly plan projects and advance international development cooperation with high standard, Saud added.

Also attending the meeting were Du Wei, deputy director-general of the CIDCA's First Department of Regional Affairs, and Lei Pili, deputy head of the CIDCA's Global Development Promotion Center.
