CIDCA vice-chairman meets with director general of Abu Dhabi Fund for Development

Zhao Fengtao, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met on Sept 25 with Director General of Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) Mohamed Saif Al Suwaidi on the sidelines of the 9th Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

Zhao reaffirmed China's commitment to promoting world peace and development and pointed out that mixed financing has become an important form of international development cooperation. He said that the CIDCA is willing to increase exchanges with the ADFD, explore the establishment of partnership and carry out cooperation in areas of mutual interest, in a bid to jointly promote the implementation of the Global Development Initiative and the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Suwaidi lauded China's important role in international development cooperation and pledged to strengthen discussions on cooperation and jointly promote activities and projects of mutual interest.
