CIDCA spokesperson: China willing to provide assistance to AU, African countries against Mpox epidemic

China is closely monitoring the recent Mpox outbreak in Africa and is assisting relevant countries in prevention and control as well as rescue efforts through means such as Chinese medical teams in Africa, Li Ming, spokesperson for the China International Development Cooperation Agency, said on Sept 26.

China is willing to work with African countries to implement the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, provide assistance within its capacity to countries in need and support Africa in responding to the Mpox epidemic, he said.
