Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) Luo Zhaohui met with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative in China Beate Trankmann in Beijing on Sept 27.
Luo said that the CIDCA attaches great importance to cooperation with the UNDP. Pointing out that the two sides are actively preparing for the 2024 National Evaluation Capacities Conference, he expressed the hope that the two sides would strengthen cooperation and work closely together to set a good example of cooperation between China and international organizations, and advance the integrated implementation of the China-proposed Global Development Initiative and the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Trankmann thanked the CIDCA for its long-term support, saying the agency is the UNDP’s most important and closest cooperation partner. The UNDP is willing to deepen comprehensive cooperation with the CIDCA in a bid to help other developing countries achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, she said.
Directors-general of the CIDCA's Department of Supervision and Evaluation Tian Lin and Department of International Cooperation Li Ming also attended the meeting.
