Luo Zhaohui, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency, met with Executive Director of the Peruvian Agency for International Cooperation Noela Pantoja Crespo on Nov 16 during his visit to Peru as a member of the Chinese president's state visit delegation.
Luo spoke highly of China-Peru relations, saying the two countries have yielded fruitful results in development assistance cooperation under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries. China is ready to work with Peru to jointly implement the key consensus reached between the two heads of state, further strengthen policy dialogue and sharing of state governance experience, proactively carry out pragmatic cooperation in such fields as people's livelihoods, security and human resources development, and explore trilateral cooperation, striving to benefit the people in both countries with development outcomes, he said.
Pantoja thanked China for helping Peru host the 31st APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting and for its support for Peru's sustainable development. She introduced Peru's work on international development cooperation, and expressed support for the China-proposed Global Development Initiative, pledging continuous efforts to jointly strive for new results in bilateral development cooperation.
During his visit, Luo also surveyed the China-aided Peruvian National Emergency Operations Center.
