A ministerial-level workshop for members of the Global Development Promotion Center Network concluded in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province, on Dec 4. Zhao Fengtao, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), spoke at the closing ceremony.
Zhao congratulated participants on the successful conclusion of the workshop and said that the achievements of Chinese modernization belong not only to China, but to the whole world. He expressed hope that all workshop participants would contribute more to global development, becoming a bridge of cooperation between countries, a bond of coordination between departments, and messengers of people-to-people exchanges, to connect the road of development, build a network of cooperation, and convey the voice of friendship.
Officials from Nauru and Togo delivered speeches as representatives of participants, while head of the CIDCA-affiliated Global Development Promotion Center Tang Ying delivered a lecture on the Global Development Initiative (GDI).
The workshop is a foreign assistance training program organized by the Chinese government for members of the Global Development Promotion Center Network to promote the GDI and exchange governance experiences. Thirty ministerial-level and middle and senior officials from 17 countries, including Nauru, Dominica, Togo and Burundi, attended the workshop.
